Early Sudbury Hotels

Balmoral Hotel

Built in 1887 to replace a boarding house (that was the original home of James McCormick), the Balmoral Hotel was one of Sudbury’s earliest landmarks. In June 1901, a three-story brick building at the corner of Elgin and Elm was constructed.  The new building opened in 1903.
